2017 MERG@50 Special Feature

We are pleased to announce that our exhibition will host the first event of the year celebrating the 50th anniversary of MERG, the Model Electronic Railway Group.

The Leamington & Warwick Model Railway Society host regular meetings of the Warwickshire / North Oxfordshire (WNO) Area Group of MERG at our club rooms.

On Saturday morning, there will be a special meeting of the Warwickshire and North Oxfordshire MERG Area Group featuring presentations by Martin Perry and Howard Watkins. During an informal buffet lunch for members, there will be a "Meet the Committee" session to allow all members to discuss any MERG related issues with the six members of the Committee who will be present.

All current MERG members are invited to attend the exhibition and then join this special MERG@50 celebration year feature. If you want to stay for the weekend you are welcome to book accommodation with the exhibition accommodation provider, The Holiday Inn Express, Warwick, where you can book a room and breakfast for £50 per night using the group code 'MOD'. This offer is available until 10th February 2017 and subject to availability of rooms. (Full Details on the Accommodation Page). MERG members wanting to visit the show on Saturday and Sunday will be able to purchase a special two day ticket for £10 on arrival at the exhibition.

We may have to limit the number of places available at the seminar sessions and consequently if you are planning to attend you should apply for a ticket which will give the organisers an indication of the number of MERG members who will be attending. Your ticket will be exchanged for a pass to the seminar rooms on arrival at the exhibition.

Please book your place before the 27th February 2017 via the MERG@50 event page on the Eventbrite ticketing website using this link

Please also note that this ticket will not give access to the exhibition and there is no access to the seminar rooms without first entering the exhibition. Tickets for the exhibition will be available on the door at £7 per person.
