Diesel and Electric Modellers United

About DEMU

Diesel and Electric Modellers United (demu) was formed in 1994 as an independent society catering for all modellers of the railways of mainland Britain in the Diesel and Electric era regardless of scale/gauge affiliations or modelling ability. We aim to promote all aspects of this period by exchanging information and ideas in our quarterly magazine 'UPDate' and our members-only web forum, which feature modelling and prototype articles on a wide range of subjects.

What Is EM?

If you’re interested in improving the look of your models or if you’re contemplating construction for the first time,  The E.M. Gauge Society is here to help you.

If you already model to EM or P4 standards, membership of the Society delivers significant benefits to railway modellers.

Why 4mm scale?

The floor plan and index of exhibitors for the 43rd annual exhibition of the Leamington and Warwick Model Railway Society on the 3rd & 4th of March 2018 are now available in the form of PDF documents.
